Nobody knows the results because there aren't any yet. Yes, I too, wonder if it were a token gesture to the non-self built cars. Don't think any of them have a spanner or spark plug amongst them, so perhaps shouldn't really be compared with the hard core fraternity.

As far as I'm concerned, all credit goes to any self-build, special or kit, that finishes high up the running order or class, it's a far bigger achievement and that's why it's a bigger kick when you do well!

Many of us have fast expensive production sports cars at home, but why would you enter it into one of these events? There's no challenge there!
