I'm sure I'm not speaking out of turn, but from the other side of the fence (so to speak), the recording of data had a lot to do with the way the ("most succesful") entrants performed. Reliability was certainly a big part, but so was adminstration.
I'd love to do another event, so if there's enough support, maybe, just maybe, "our leader" may just spawn something else resembling a good old endurance race.
Fancy running across the start/finish straight to get into the cars at the start? or driving through the night?
