Hi John, I imagine the TR6 has a 'construction and use' type secondary retaining catch to keep the bonnet in place should the main lock fail. This would meet what is required in the regulations. Some handbuilt cars have only a single catch which could be unsafe.

A team of TR6s representing Triumph would be most welcome.
