With all that is going on in this world today I thought it time to repost a column I sent out following the WTC terrorist act. Rather than spend the time to find my original copy I just typed in the Subject line and this came up on Al Columbo's web site.
With the numerous mass killings that have taken place recently it seems that the underlying point of my writing is SHOUTING out for readers to review what is going on. The mocking from the unbelievers about *PRAYER* following the killings in Texas needs to be countered with the key phrase here:
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (KJV)

Notice it states: the "effectual" "fervent prayer" of a "RIGHTEOUS" man availeth much.

That kind of prayer is much different than the usual muttering of words so many do before eating a meal.

Anyway - I hope this might encourage some REAL prayer by those who read this.

I have given a great deal of thought as to what I would say about this and it always goes back to my initial comments to my daughter when she came back into the motel room Tuesday morning. She had gone outside for some fresh air and another guest told her what had happened. She rushed back into the room and turned the TV on and told me to watch. It was a horrifying site to see as all of you know. Some would say unbelievable to see such on American soil. However, after watching for a short time I told my daughter that no one should be surprised about this as this nation has turned it's back on Almighty God and scripture tells us CLEARLY what happens when a nation turns it's back on Him. My only surprise is that it hasn't happened on this scale years ago. Perhaps one person was still searching for those few "righteous" men? {Genesis 18:23-33}

Another thing I noticed on TV was the many references to PRAYER. News commentators and public officials actually mentioning PRAYER on the air. I wondered how many of them understood what they were saying or were they doing as so many in so many churches do - mouthing the words they think they should say with no understanding of what the words mean. Can you go to the CEO of some organization to plead your desire and expect results if you are not a member of that organization? If you expect to be heard and to obtain your desired results it would seem to me that you would need to be a MEMBER of the group or your request would be ignored. This verse came to mind and I think it needs to be reviewed by folks.

None of us will get out of 'this world' alive. That is a fact! It is also fact that what 'you' decide here is how 'you' will spend eternity. You are given free will to make that decision and denial of that simple point will not change it. You can decide to spend eternity with Christ or eternal damnation - the choice is yours and yours alone. John 3:3 states what you must do. Those folks whose earthly bodies were destroyed Tuesday can no longer make that decision. None of us knows when our time will be. Putting off that decision to decide "Whose you are" may be costly, you may not get the opportunity five minutes after you read this. Let this be a wake up call to all - it is time to remove that callous surrounding your heart and begin to develop calluses on your knees from bending them in "effectual fervent prayer". But, in order to expect results - you must become a 'voting member' of the organization - you need to become a 'righteous man'.

I hope I have caused a few to think about things in a different manner than how the media is directing thoughts. God will not be mocked. America has turned her back on our Creator and Protector. What is coming is going to be horrible and I don't believe America is going to be the safe haven it was before. Everyone needs to "prepare your house" for what is to take place. Figure out *who* that *enemy within* is and then take action. Forget about *who you are* and focus on *WHOSE YOU ARE*.

This war we are in is a Spiritual War - The prize is our Soul.
