Although I do not have STATISTICS to prove my point I do believe that the comeback of all these diseases and now T.B. are directly connected to the huge influx of ILLEGALS from other nations who have brought their diseases in with them and since these ILLEGALS violated how to enter America they did NOT go thru any kind of HEALTH checks before settling in among our communities, touching many of us - handling our food and who knows what else

Jackie , speaking from experience dating to 1972 in Lubbick, Texas U.S. Border Patrol area control operations in industry, food processing plants, to farm and ranch checks communicable disease awareness was always a factor. On many operations , plant checks including Jimmy Dean's Meat Packing Company, to other local meat processing businesses, illegal aliens were found on that were ill from a variety of diseases packing including active tuberculois. The Texas department of Health was immediately notified and shut down the operation while contageous illegal aliens were removed to a medical quarentine . A common sense rule at the time and many years after was "always having surgical masks , alcohol and gloves" available for area control operations as well as fingerprinting countless deportable aliens. Agents who did not take steps to protect themselves often ended up sick from communicable disease encounters with arrested aliens.
Legal immigrants and refugees are required to have a medical examination for migration to the United States, as well as criminal vetting. The medical procedure consists of a physical examination, an evaluation (skin test/chest x-ray examination) for tuberculosis (TB), and blood test for syphilis. Individuals who fail the exam due to certain health-related conditions are not admitted to the United States. Such conditions include drug addiction or communicable diseases of public health significance such as T.B. syphilis, gonorrhoea, leprosy, and a changing list of current threats such as polio, cholera, diphtheria, smallpox, or severe acute respiratory syndromes.
Illegal immigrants crossing into the United States could bring any of these threats. "What's coming over into the U.S. could harm everyone. The Border Patrol is starting to see scabies, chicken pox, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections, and different viruses."
There are also reports that tuberculosis is spreading at the camps housing the illegal immigrant minors while the Obama government downplayed the severity of the matter. At least half a dozen anonymous sources, including nurses and healthcare providers, treating illegals at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio say the government is covering up a very serious health threat. Specifically, tuberculosis has become a dangerous issue at both the border and the camps, according to several sources One source confirms that the amount of tuberculosis is astonishing.
Illegal immigration may expose Americans to diseases that have been virtually eradicated, but are highly contagious, as in the case of T.B. This disease rose by 20% globally from 1985 to 1991, and was declared a worldwide emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1995.
