Term limits on all elected politicians has been needed for decades. From corruption to felonies committed in office,
Congress is as described by Samuel Clemens, " a distinct criminal class of people". On health care issues, U.S. Senators and Congressmen have the best medical care in the world at taxpayer expense regardless of time in office plus pensions for life. Congress insures their needs are taken care of first from pay raises, benefits to "pork barrel" projects and lobbyist payoffs insuring great financial gain while in office. Crimes, Felonies involving Senators and Congressman compiles a long list. Sadly, many elected leaders can not even qualify for a NSA Clearance due to poor credit and crimes involving moral turpitude.

The average retired federal worker has contributed to his or her pension by monthly deductions from their paycheck over a span of many years. On health care benefits, retired federal workers must pay for their own medical insurance. For example, I pay over $700 a month for Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employees medical plan. The money is deducted monthly from my pension and being reasonably healthy, my wife and I rarely if ever see a doctor.

As you said Jackie: Pass a law that all politicians are SUBJECT TO the SAME kind of *coverage* that the everyday American citizen has access to purchase for the same pricing.

"If those politicians had to live under the SAME rules they pass on us we would see a far different bunch of rules, regulations, laws, being passed at all levels of government."

"The same thing should apply to those *pensions* and Secret Service protection."

I might add Jackie, when Gerald Ford was President and visited Nogales, Arizona, our USBP unit was assigned to the Secret Service to insure Presidential safety. What an eye opener on what Service Agents endure 24 and 7. I can't even imagine "baby sitting" duties for a lifetime on some of the prima donnas who occupied the white house. In my opinion a waste of taxpayer money, personnel resources and time expended on some people who would prefer their activities were not observed.

One of my favorite books is "Unlimited Access, an F.B.I. Agent inside the Clinton Whitehouse by Gary Aldrich, a 30 year Special Agent. His expose presents a presidential administration with a great deal to hide and willing to put America at risk to keep it hidden.
