When I first heard of this a week ago or so I thought it was just an error on the Kent School Districts part. My thought was why should LEGAL AMERICAN STUDENTS be punished because some ILLEGAL hadn't been removed and deported. This is really the height of insanity when an entire student body is prevented from doing something they have done for years - all because a few of the students are here in America, attending our TAX FUNDED schools (and who knows what else they are getting that should only go to LEGAL citizens). Instead of punishing - or should I say PREVENTING - the ILLEGALS from these trips the idiot school administrators decide to punish the entire student body - all because the school is HARBORING ILLEGALS. The Kent School District should be charged for HARBORING, TRANSPORTING (are they riding district buses to get to and from school?) ILLEGALS. Each school district administrator should be personally charged with this FEDERAL CRIME.
USC 8 - Section 1324a states: "Any person who knowingly hires/harbors/transports any illegal alien is guilty of a felony punishable by 10 years jail + $2000 fine per illegal alien + forfeiture of the vehicle or property used to commit the crime".
Section 1324c states, "All officers whose duty it is to enforce criminal laws shall have authority to make arrests for a violation of any provision of this section" (affirmed US v Perez-Gonzalez 2002 Fed App 0360, 6th Circ.).
Why isn't this being enforced?????

Kent School District bans international travel because undocumented students can’t go

KENT, Wash. – A new policy change means no more international field trips for students in the state’s fourth largest school district.
The Kent School District made a change to its race and equity policy in March. That led the board to decide that since some students are undocumented and therefore can’t go out of the country on school field trips, no students are allowed to go.
“It was incredible. We just dressed up and we played the music,” said Kentlake High School band member Megan Monahan.

For nearly two decades, the Kentlake High School band has gone up to Victoria, B.C., for a school-sanctioned, three-day field trip. But this year…
“It was devastating that we weren’t able to go,” said Monahan.
The school district revised a policy in March ultimately banning all international travel.
“We had students who were having to self-identify (as undocumented), which is contrary to the law, and sit out of a trip that was sanctioned by the district,” said Chris Loftis, Kent School District head of communications.
