What Mo Brooks just introduced is exactly what I thought from the git go - REPEAL and let the people get their private insurance. Government can and should tell the insurance industry they no longer are going to make money due to government mandates. If they (insurance industry) want to make money they will need to REDUCE their premiums and offer insurance plans that the people want. I do not need maternity - prostate - transgender - breast enhancement or any of the other plans they include in their plans. :Let me choose what I might have need of and pay for that. Better yet, just let me purchase catastrophic coverage - or none at all.

As to the poverty folks or those on welfare - - if they are able to perform any kind of work they buy their own by going to work. Only the DISABLED should get some kind of assistance. Oh, and disabled does not mean addicted to illegal drugs.
Then government can tell the Big Pharma folks to greatly reduce the costs they have been charging or they will be audited and their prices reduced to give them a small profit. NO MORE LOBBYISTS for the Drug , Insurance, or other Medical coverage kind of groups.

“Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted,” the bill reads.
