In reply to: Zeara /Zearask/ 's message, "I.n.d.e.e.d." on 11:54:51 10/23/05 Sun

Unconsciously holding his breath, Mikhal waits tensely for Zeara's reply, hoping she won't send him away. He releases it in a long, slow exhalation when she begins to speak, relaxing. It seems she'll be willing to talk to him. And she confirms that there are differences, so he's doubly glad that she'll tolerate his curiousity. He bites down a laugh when he hears her staggering about right after her comment about stubbornness, not wanting to offend the woman when she's being kind to him in this way. Mikhal hesitates for a moment when Zeara invites him into the cave, not sure about walking into a strange place without any light to see by. He's not exactly inspired by the invitation to grab her watchwher's tail, either; what if he pulls on it and upsets Zearask? But his desire to learn more overrides his caution, and besides, it would be rude to imply that Zeara can't keep control over her own watchwher, so Mikhal reaches out and catches hold of the bronze's tail, only brushing it gingerly with the tips of his fingers. He looses it twice, trying to hard not to pull, but finds a grip that allows him to hold on without holding too tightly. "Thank you for telling me this," he says awkwardly, and the way his voice rings in the cave makes him wince. The echoes are different in here, and he's speaking far too loudly. Modulating his volume a bit, Mikhal goes on. "So... stubborn? Is there a good way to make sure Misk listens, then?" he asks tentatively, remembering the way the hatchling bronze had tried to follow him. He's pretty sure that his wher will stay for a little while, but Misk hadn't been happy that he'd left, so he can only hope the young watchwher won't come in search of him if he spends too long with the nice bronze-handler.
