I'll follow you into the dark


When they pulled in to the drive, she gave his cheek a quick kiss and then rushed out of the truck and up the walk and into the house. She had just managed to get warmed up and didn't want to spend too much time outside getting cold again. While she waited for him to join her inside the warmth, she begun the task of peeling off the outer layers that she was wearing - first jacket, second jacket, sweater, gloves, shoes - and then dropped her bag by the door and headed into the kitchen to see what she could make for lunch. She was pretty hungry, and he was always hungry, and something hot would be nice - so she decided on soup and sandwiches. There was just something about him that made her want to take care of him - besides the fact that he totally appreciated every little thing that she did. Stripped down to just black pants and a thin soft blue sweater, she would have been chilly except that she was moving around enough for now. She still wasn't quite ready for it to be winter...
