My father raised chickens during wwII. We had several chicken coops in our back yard that spilled over onto a vacant lot next door which dad eventually bought and later sold to help pay for my college education. About a year ago I drove by my old home (73 Johnson Rd) which dad had built in 1928 and I hardly recognized it--It was a wonderful Sears Robuck catalogue home and it had been supersized!
