 Thanks Brad. The first evidence that Nabby lived in Eastchester (then spelled East Chester) is from the letters of John, Abigail, Nabby, and her husband, William Smith. Eastchester at the time had no street addresses, per se, but the town was platted and was on the postal service route. I'm trying to find an online copy of the plat map or to have the New York Public Library, which has plat maps, do a search to locate the homestead and, if found, to send an image of the map. We must search multiple titles because it isn't certain from the letters who in the family actually purchased the property and house. I posted the thread in the hope that someone who has or did live in Eastchester longer than I did knew of the house (if still standing).
