A couple of my neighbors had rowboats they used in the quarry between Lincoln and Fisher Avenues.

I don't recall ever seeing them being used, and was never invited down there. My friends and I knew several ways into the fenced area, but confined our mischief to tossing a rock in from the top of the cliff to see the big splash.

I did end up swimming in the third one, at the end of Lamesa. From what I read on line, only one quarry now remains unfilled.
