Subject: What Will It Take?

We just had a reunion that included EHS graduating years 1965 through 1967. It was terrific... very gratifying... to see those who attended. I'm blown away seeing how good some people look at our advanced age :)

What I observed was that were very few people attending from each class year. The 1965 group had the fewest, followed by 1967. The 1966 group had a much better showing, but still small compared to the whole class. However, one question keeps recurring...

What will it take to get high attendance at these type of functions? For this one, we used a professional service, which in the end, in my opinion, should be forced out of business. Consider any service other than Great Reunions.

For the EHS Class of 1966, this was a true 40th year reunion. As we get older, and the deceased list grows, I would think it to be extremely rewarding to see friends from 45 or 50 years ago. However, I don't get that warm & fuzzy feeling that many others share that view. What will it take to change their minds? What will it take to get them in one place for an evening?

Now, let's close our eyes and imagine for a moment... all living EHS graduates meeting on the EHS property on some weekend. How's THAT for a pleasant thought?
