I'll second your motion to cross Great Reunions off the list of companies that should be allowed to remain in business. I already posted my thoughts on them on this forum...and to be fair... their response.

The people they had working at the event obviously had no clue as to what would make a successful gathering of our age group. The music was ok, but there was no effort to tie the songs into the specific years.

I can think of a half dozen games they could have played with those that attended that might have generated some interest...maybe a few album (ok...CD) giveaways... a prize or two (instead of a ribbon) for the "longest married" or the person who traveled the farthest...just to name a couple.

Had they read the information in the booklet they published they would have known something about the people attending. We have doctors, lawyers, photographers, artists, musicians, and so many other occupations among us. There are parents and singles, some married and others divorced, straight and gay, so many different perspectives to draw on...all right there in the booklet.

They could have invited some of the attendees to the mic to talk about "the good old days"... and otherwise encouraged some involvement.. but they missed the boat on that one too.

I could go on... but I'd rather give others a chance at taking their own shot at them. If there is a 50 year reunion I'll sign up... but only if "G.R." isn't involved. PA-TOOIE!!!

Brad
