 '56. Jimmy Ciarlo was called out stealing home. Vince Bellew had a picture in his office for years showing Jimmy, safe. Joe Casullo, Russ Smith, Jimmy Chiarlo, Johnny Fisher all good players. I remember the founding fathers of the Little League: Jack Vechiarelli, Joe Casullo, Bobby Allen, John Iaciofano, Al Tarcinale, Hy Citron, Andy Manley, Joe LaManna, Mickey Marks, Vince Forte, Vince Giaquinto all stayed on board without vested interests. Their kids came and went.

Also Augie Wilcox, Andy Kuczma, Pete Lali, Sam Verdisco, Goody Goodglass, Fred Venuti.
Even if you didn't make the team there was always Bellew's Little Giants League.
