One night last week, the old movie 'Airport' was on tv. I was amazed at how much room the passengers had. I can remember being able to recline and at least be comfortable. Now, there is barely a point to having the 'recline' button, since the seat moves back a quarter inch.

Add the precautions for terrorism into the mix, including no liquids, no carry-on luggage in some cases, taking off shoes, endless lines, and you have one miserable way to travel.

I checked out prices to travel to NY this summer. If I went in August, the cheapest flights were around a thousand dollars, from Medford, Oregon. If I went in September, the cost was $350. If I went in September on Business Class, the cost was $1,300. Insane.
