Thank you, Carl -- you're close. I fix other people's writing -- I'm a freelance proofreader/copyeditor. I like to write, but I've never done so professionally, just for fun and my own expression. By the way, I work at home, so that's why I have the time to answer the questions in a timely manner -- no bosses breathing down my neck!

I liked Secretary. I thought the performances were excellent -- Maggie Gyllenhaal was riveting. I didn't particularly like that there was so much emphasis on both her and Spader's character as being kind of disturbed, but I loved how they found strength in each other; they both needed to find someone to understand them. Watching her bloom under his attention was fascinating. Being a spanko, I would have liked to see an OTK scene, or at least have had him lift her skirt when he spanked her at the desk, but one can't have everything.

If I tell you the celebrity thing, you'll laugh your head off at me... I'm not big on current celebs, but a fantasy I had for years was to be spanked by the character of Quentin Collins on the old gothic horror serial Dark Shadows. I watched that show when I was a young teen, rediscovered it recently on Sci-Fi, and I remembered the fierce crush I had on that character -- tall, handsome, brooding, volatile, a little dangerous, a total bad boy. OK, so he turned into a werewolf now and then and could have killed me. But in human form, I imagined he'd give one hell of a spanking. The actor who played him, David Selby, is still around (in his 60s) and I wish I could meet him.

I have very little family -- a mom and stepdad, both in their 80s, no siblings, no kids, a few cousins strewn about. So family isn't an issue. And these days, most of my friends are fellow spankos. I have a separate email account for vanilla correspondence, and I don't share what I do with vanilla friends unless I sense they won't be judgmental or freaked out. And I don't have to worry about work, as I work for myself.
