Ok folks, I have a real good piece of information...I left Okinawa (June 05) and found out the hard way about the difference between International and Domestic flights. If you book your animals from Okinawa straight through to the States, you will be paying the international fee and not a domestic fee.....even though ANA only does domestic flights. The fee is about $200 dollars more per animal. So the solution is to book your animal on a domestic flight from Naha to Mainland Japan then on a seperate ticket from Japan to CONUS. If SATO is scheduling your reservations, make sure they book them on seperate tickets or even better, have them book them from Mainland Japan to CONUS and you handle the domestic flight....they usually have discounts going on....call the airlines directly to check on prices. With the AMC flights ending, I am sure there will be lots of people caught in this situation and will not be able to afford the outrageous "International" price for providing a "Domestic" service. Animals may start getting dumped right at the airport.
