The Reptile would be my pick.

The Alligator People is a fun drive-in type feature with a great cast, specifically Lon Chaney Jr and Beverly Garland.

The Reptile is one of the most unusual horror films to come out of Hammer Studios. Jacqueline Pearce does an excellent job in the title role, and veteran actor John Laurie is especially memorable in the supporting role of Mad Peter.

As much as I enjoyed "The Alligator People" I liked "The Reptile" a little better.
