Subject: Dracula (1931) In Theaters 80 Years Ago

Dracula (1931) premiered in New York City on February 12, 1931 and opened across the USA on February 14, 1931.

Directed by Tod Browning, the picture launched the Universal horror film cycle of the 1930s.

Bela Lugosi played Count Dracula. Among the other cast members were Helen Chandler, David Manners, Dwight Frye and Edward Van Sloan.

And so was Frankenstein. Universal could very well release both films for their 80th anniversary this year on Blu-Ray.
