Subject: Universal TV Classics: Knight Rider (1982-86)

This series was excellent in all respects. It became a phenomenal success and to this day it's still amazing. I grew up with it and in reruns and remember it so well. Much was filmed in and around Los Angeles and distant locations I know well enough. I was shopping the other day at Walmart and saw seasons 2 and 3 on DVD and bought them for $10 each. I previously had them on VHS taped off USA (with edits). They didn't have seasons 1 and 4 in stock but they aren't too far off.

The image and sound is the best I have ever seen, taken right off the 35mm prints and magnetic soundtracks. The episodes are uncut. The series has never looked or sounded better. Gorgeous Hi-Def transfers they are. Universal is wise to take the price down after 5 years, where other studios won't do this for their TV classics. Your favorite seasons (all apply) and moments, please. David Hasslehoff did a very good job as Michael Knight.

A popular show at the time, it retains a following to this day. The show's creator was Glen A. Larson, who also scored with the original Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

I also remember Automan, a somewhat similar show around the same time with Desi Arnaz Jr, which was canceled very quickly.
