You are right, the famous footage taken by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin in 1967 was not in the 1974 documentary, but was included in many others. Patterson appeared on some television talk shows, where his film was also shown. He died in 1972.

Speaking of 1974 documentaries, I remember seeing "The Horror Hall of Fame" when it originally aired in October 1974. Vincent Price was the host, and the guests included John Carradine, Frank Gorshin and John Astin. It was a one-hour program and featured clips from several horror films, including The Golem (1920). It was a fun show.

For a long time the above mentioned Horror Hall of Fame (1974) was difficult to find, but recently a copy has been posted on Youtube.

There was another, unrelated, Horror Hall of Fame, an Academy Awards-type program for horror films which aired annually on cable TV for three years from 1989 to 1991. I recall seeing the 1990 broadcast which included Forrest Ackerman being inducted for his work on Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine.
