Stanley Ridges did a great job as Red Cannon (and Professor Kingsley) in Black Friday (1940), holding his own with screen legends Karloff and Lugosi. Lugosi also gave his all as Eric Marnay in the picture, even though it was not the part he was originally cast to play.

Speaking of Boris Karloff, I enjoyed him as gangster Joe Terry in Graft (1931).

I would also vote for Daniel (J. Carrol Naish), who could be classified as Dr Niemann's henchman in House of Frankenstein (1944).
