Subject: Famous Monsters of Filmland returns

Famous Monsters of Filmland was originally published by Jim Warren from 1958 to 1983 with the venerable Forrest J Ackerman as editor. Lots of kids grew up watching Karloff and Lugosi films on television in the 1960s and 1970s, and would also read about them in Famous Monsters magazine. Forry Ackerman became a beloved icon among fantastic film fans. He passed away in 2008.

The magazine was revived in 1993 and was published on and off for the next several years.

Philip Kim now owns the FM trademark, and he recently re-launched the publication, picking the numbering up at issue #251.

Famous Monsters #251 was released in July 2010, and issue #252 should be out around October. The editor is Jessie Lilley. She has edited a number of film related publications in years past.

Thanks for this info Tim...glad to hear of FMoF return.

I'll have to watch for The first return issue.
I have almost all of the original issues and all of the updated ones.
