A fine actor, and a great movie star in the classic sense. I grew up watching his films on television, from Houdini (1953) to The Boston Strangler (1968), and many more. The Rat Race (1960) and The Outsider (1961) are also among my favorites.

He was the father of actress Jamie Lee Curtis. Earlier this month singer Eddie Fisher passed away, who was the father of actress Carrie Fisher.

Another fine actor gone.

The first film that made me notice Tony Curtis was
"Some Like It Hot" when I saw it in 1959 at the Loews theater with my aunt and cousin in the Bronx NYC.

Today I have many of Tony's films on VHS, and a few on DVD.
Besides the films mentioned, I liked his two Boxing films,
from Universal, Flesh and Fury and The Square Jungle.
I also liked his early Universal film about juvenile delinquency, "City Across the River." from 1949, the year I was born.
