Just a note that Chuck's birthday is October 4th. He was one of the few actors who began his career in the Golden Age of film, who became very successful and lived into the 21st century. He did very well in all respects.

I always enjoyed film performances by Charlton Heston.

A couple of my favorites with the late Mr.Heston include his iconic role as Moses in The Ten Commandments. It would be tough for me to think of any other actor standing as he did before the parting of the Red Sea. Also, his part as Ben-Hur, and the chariot race was truly remarkable.

The two films cited by Officer Torch are among the timeless classics of cinema history.

Mr Heston did a few science fiction films in the 1960s and 1970s, including The Omega Man (1971) and Soylent Green (1973). But his best science fiction picture has to be Planet of the Apes (1968).
