I think this might have been a major teaming up of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. My likes in general, but not necessarily in this order:

-The Chess Game

-The bizarre Satanic mass scenes

-The over the top art deco design/pieces used

-Dr. Werdegast's (Lugosi) statement to Hjalmar Poelzig (Karloff)...it's the red switch, isn't it. (Explosives are beneath.)

-The music
