The moments cited by Officer Torch and Dan are excellent, and among my own favorites as well.

A couple of less famous but still memorable favorites include the initial encounter between Wolf Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) and Ygor (Bela Lugosi) in Son of Frankenstein.

Also the very beginning of House of Frakenstein when Dr Niemann (Boris Karloff) reaches through the cell door window to surprise the guard.

I saw "Son of Frankenstein" when it was re-issued about 1945
-- and I was about 8. Then as now, the greatest moment was
Inspector Krogh's confrontation with the Monster. Simply
unforgettable.
