Subject: Universal Horror: Secret of the Blue Room ( 1933 )

A castle with a closed-off room is the setting for this murder-mystery that features three men who dare one another to sleep inside the castle's haunted "blue room", to prove their manhood to the film's eligible bachelorette, Irene. Stormy weather, dark hallways, secret passages and hidden agendas are involved in the plot. Sets from "The Old Dark House" and "Frankenstein" were reused. With Lionel Atwill, Gloria Stuart, Onslow Stevens. Release date: July 20, 1933. The film was later reran in 1957 and distributed by Screen Gems.

The title sounds familiar, but I don't think I have seen this one. Looks like a great cast.

Directed by Kurt Neumann, who also directed the horror/science fiction classic The Fly (1958).
