Subject: Bon Scott's waiting for you

Perry put me to work writing bios after I left HIT PARADER. And every time I visited him and his dog Teddy at his house, he had more tidbits on how to develop artists.

Every so often I'd throw bands at him that I didn't like and go, "Perry, I don't like this but maybe you can hear a hit in it? The guys in the band are really nice" or something like that. And he'd back me on my feelings.

He moved to Virginia, I had gotten in touch with him about March when Susan Masino from Wisconsin was working on his AC/DC book. She did one interview with him. Kathy Acquaviva called Perry, I called Perry. He didn't tell us he was sick, but we talked about animals and the business, and he was happy to hear that two of my baby bands were growing to that right next level. I asked him some questions about his experiences..... We just talked, and I added him to my email news release list AGAIN!

I really wish he didn't die, because I'm really selfish and want to keep in touch with folks who've helped me in big ways. But now that he did die, I know that he's gone up there with Teddy and also with Bon Scott.... I also bet that John Lennon will give him a nudge on his shoulder for the work he did with Julian Lennon!

These are some very cool pictures. The dog up above isn't Teddy, tho'. Teddy was a small dog, like a cocker spaniel. Please, if you have a photo of Teddy, it'd be nice to have.

Thanks.
