Subject: need a good substitute yarn

My mom's friend (92 and still crocheting up a storm) wants to make an old pattern that calls for DazzleAire yarn. Of course, that has been discontinued for quite some time. She needs it to be a "fuzzy" yarn, cause the pattern is for a dog hand puppet that she says looks "fluffy" when it's done. I think Jiffy would probably work well, but wondered if anyone else has a suggestion. It's been a long time since I've had any DazzleAire, but I recall it being somewhat similar to Jiffy. I just don't remember if it was a lighter weight yarn than Jiffy, though.
Thanks for any help. You guys always come through for me!
