This is the first time visiting this site but it won't be my last. I love that you your pages ask "If Jesus is your Savior?" That should be on everyones pages. Thank you again for a wonderful site. I am interested in finding a pattern for an afghan that has an Angel made with puff stitches. My mother bought on for me and I would love to have the pattern to make my Sisters in Christ one. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Again, keep telling people about Christ.

I'm looking for a pattern for a Christmas ornament. It is crocheted with white crochet cotton. If I remember the picture, it looks like a white rectangular strip which is starched and twisted around a large dowel. When it is completely dried, you cut a strand of beads the length of the icicle.
I had the pattern and can't find it anywhere.

G'Day,
Could someone out there please point me in the right direction? I have the supplies, but the instructions seems to have flown right out of my head!
I'd love to teach my Granddaughters how to knit using a spool knitter - the instructions I did have were confusing, but I remember spending many hours as a young girl spool knitting lots of creative projects!
Please help me in you can, the simpler the instructions - the better, please.
When I am crocheting I seem to be able to do the complicated patterns, yet this has me baffled!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers from Canada,
Kris

At the end of October a friend of mine who is an avid crocheter had a stroke after having major cancer surgery. She crocheted squares for blankets for an Indian Reservation in N. Dakota. The stroke has affected her right hand and arm. I have heard or seen something on the net about a gadget that, though it wasn't designed for crocheters, would hold her projects as she crocheted. She is planning on learning to crochet with her left hand if she can't get her right hand working again.
Any help in finding this gadget will be much appreaciated.

A few years ago I had obtained from email a printout of a pattern for a rectangle rug. You would crochect down one side and do three crochets in the corners. I lost the pattern and after many different tries and ideas, I can't get the thing started. All I can fin are patterns for granny rectangle and that is not what I want. It is just a simple single crochet rectangle.
Thank you.

I am trying to crochet an afghan in blocks that have houses and hearts in them. It says not to carry changed color. Does that mean that I have to cut changed color throughout and hide them when complete? Please explain how to change a color within afghan, not at end of rows. Thank you so much. I have tried this afghan at least 5 times and can't seem to get the number of changed color stitches correct.

I am trying to make a crochet afghan for a friend, but I can't figure out the pattern... If anyone can help, I would be sooooo greatful. I've tried writing the pattern down on a seperate piece of paper and I've tried to use stitch markers to show which stitch I've just completed but the pattern still does not make sense to me. And to make things worse this is only the second row of the pattern that I'm talking about. The first row is Ch 175, dc in 3rd ch from hook, skip next 3 ch; for vertical petal YO, insert hook in next ch, YO, pull up a loop, YO pull through 2 loops on hook, YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up a lp, YO, pull through 2 loops on hook, YO, pull through all 3 loops on hook; for horizonal petal, ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook, for double petal, YO, insert hook in sam ch as last ch worked in on starting ch, YO, pull up lp, YO, pull through 2 loops on hook, YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up loop, YO, pull through 2 loops on hook, skip next 3 ch, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up loop, YO, pull through all 5 loops on hook across ending with vertical petal. (***this is where my problems start***) Row 2: ch 4,dc in 3rd ch from hook; double petal in same st as first petal and in next double petal skipping next horixonal petal, horizonal petal, (double petal in same st as last double petal and in next double petal across ending with vertical petal in last double petal..... I just don't get it!! Is it telling me to to crochet backwards and to crochet over my work to be able to crochet over horizonal petal??? And then it tells me to skp next horizonal petal and then work one horizonal petal, but it doesn't say which stitch to work the petal into??? The full pattern is located in the "Quick and Easy Crochet" magazine on page 16. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I'm sorry that this question is so long

Oh I hope that someone maybe able to help me. I am looking for a clown bank pattern. I have the pattern somewhere, but just can't seem to find it. A friend of mine gave it to me along time ago. I am not sure what crochet book it is in.
The pattern consists of a glass mason jar. You crochet the the head, hands hat and feet and also crochet a collar around the bottom of the head and also like the collar make a ruffle to go around the center of the jar. Then you put it together and use felt for the face. Also the nose and mouth are crocheted. Does anyone know of this pattern? And then glue them on the jar.

Hello everyone!
I have been saving those potato chip cylinders for a year, planning to make crocheted Christmas candles. The pattern was from the works of the great, late Sally V George. I thought I had saved it on the computer, but cannot locate it anywhere! Now, the original web sight is gone as well.
If anyone one knows, or has, this pattern I would appreciate so much a copy or just written instructions, I will be so grateful.
I don't believe there is a copywrite problem, as the web sight stated her wish that anyone could freely make or even sell products of her designs.
I planned to give them to friends and family, if I could make them look as cute as Ms George' did.
Thanks to all for your time and consideration.
Phyllis

Hi all. I was very excited to happen upon this site. I am a newbie crocheter. The only thing I have made have been a few afghans. I primarily like the patterns that do not have to be pieced like the panel patterns or granny squares. I am looking for some easy afghan patterns baby and adult that I can be working on. Any suggestions?
Also, my husband wants me to make him one but doesn't want "holes" although I tried to explain to him that the "holes" are what creates the patterns and are the beauty of the work. Anyway.... is there anything you can recommend other than a huge blanket of double crochet? Thanks. feel free to email me trishrigg@gmail.com Thanks girls!

I'm trying to make hats, but I'm having some trouble. They're suppose to fit a 22"-23" head, finished circumference 21". But it always ends up too small. I have done the gauge, used a bigger hook but it still comes out too small. The directions tell you to Ch 4 and join with a sl st to form ring, would it help to maybe chain more and then proceed from there to make it larger. I can't seem to get it right. Thanks!
