It slowly gives you a sun kissed glow tan, and it comes in 3 different shades. I have a fair complexion so I used the one for light skin, and I really liked it. I have never heard about the wipes you are referring to, but I would suggest the lotion over the wipes. I think it costs around $6 and it's well worth it! Good luck with it!
