Do you play a musical instrument? and if so...
what instrument / s do you play?
and for how long have you been playing?

One more question....
If you could choose any instrument to play [other than any you already play] what would it be and why?

I don't play any musical instruments, but I always wanted to play the saxophone as a young lad. My daughter is learning the violin.

Good site!

Hi Tom - and welcome to doh--re-mi :o)

Are you in the South Wales area? I know a fantastic sax player / teacher based in Cardiff : Marcin Wright - www.marcin.info - highly recommended both as a performer and a tutor.

I play th e piano and I've been learning for about 6 years. I really enjoy the piano. I would love to sing like Ella Fitzgerald.

I've been playing guitar (mostly classical) on and off (mostly off) for 40 yrs. I have recently taken up the mandolin so that I could play melody lines with a traditional music group rather than always having to play rhythm guitar. Right-left hand coordination is proving problematic, particularly at speed. If I had my time over again I think I would have chosen the harp. My wife has recently started to play the harp. We hope to try some harp-mandolin duets eventually. There must be lots of harp-violin or harp-flute music we could try. Super site. Your enthusiasm is infectious!

Actually, I'm very keen to learn the harp, which is what led me to your site! I'm trying to tot up the costs involved in buying or renting a harp, what kind might be best for an absolute beginner, and where I can find tuition in Cardiff. My next port of call may be the harp shop in Penarth. Do you have any advice you could offer me? Many thanks in advance!

I play the harp, and I love it!
I have been playing the Reverie for Harp from this site, and it sounds really pretty.
I think... I'm not sure what I might play. I've tried quite a few instruments before I started playing harp (I actually still do play violin, but not very well) but none of them seized my heart as the harp has.
