Trailer Trash
I use to work for a major clothing retailer as a telephone/fitting room operator. That meant that I was often the first line of defense against shoplifters.
One night I had this woman, who looked like white trailer trash, with two kids walk in. They were all wearing clothing stained with food, grease, and whatever else. Not only that, but she is dragging with her two HEAPING carts of clothes! Our store had a policy that only allows the customer to take back 6 or less items to try on, so I tried to get this lady's attention to let her know. She and her kids are already yelling at each other, so I literally had to get up from my station (1/2 of a foot from her) and step in front of her to get her attention and keep her from clogging up the dressing room area with her carts (IDIOT!!). I then explained to her the dressing room policy, and handed each of them (her children) the required number placquard.
After her children were in their respective dressing rooms, the lady and her children proceed to yell at each other and call each other names. I politely asked the woman if she could quiet her children down as they were disturbing the people around them (namely ME!!!) upon which she yelled at them to shut the fuck up! Yeah that will work Genius! All the while she is trying to sneak more product in than what is actually coming out, and everything that comes out is in total disarray (thanks for adding HOURS of work to my job!!). This went on for close to an hour, what with all of the yelling and totally disassembled garments (some of them were two and three pieces!).
I had to step away from my station for a moment to help a customer, and when I came back -- a miracle had occurred!!! Not only had all three of them suddenly "acquired" clean clothes, but they were several pounds heavier and there was a lot less clothes to put back!!!!! I politely inquired as to what had happened to the white spaghetti stained shirt her daughter had been wearing, her greasy gray t-shirt with the word "Boston" on it, and her sons green shirt with miscellaneous stains. She then became irate and began yelling at me saying, "We are not trailer trash you shit! How dare you accuse me of stealing!!!".
Thank god my manager came and backed me up along with security!! Needless to say they all quickly lost weight - Its amazing what a little working out will do for ya!!
