I work at one of the Wal-mart stores and this particular day we had a lot of people trying to steal things. (How dumb is that when we have a loss prevention team!) So this one guy, he was a foreigner, he tried go leave out of the exit doors with a bike that had not been paid for. Quite naturally the exit greeter asked him for a receipt and he proceeded with saying that he didn't speak English so he proceeded to walk out the door so the exit greeter said replied," Sir, could you hold on for a second?" The guy then said that he didn't speak English. So, the door greeter had some one call for security over the walkie talkie and asked the customer what language did he speak and surprisingly he answered saying he spoke Spanish. The door greeter then said that he spoke Spanish but not fluently. By this time the security persons arrived and asked him did he have a receipt and if not did he want to pay for it at customer service. The guy then went back and replied with he couldn't speak or understand English. The security guy then pulled out his hand cuffs and said do you understand these? Then come with me. The guy insisted that the bike was his. Eventually, the county police came and realized that he could speak and understand English very well. The funny part is that they locked him up and then found that he had a warrant out for his arrest for prior crimes.
