Natural Wonders

Opened On July 10, 2005.

It seemed impossible, a realm all its own, far from the reach of any humans and without imprint of any horses. Within this kingdom seemed separate dwellings, each with their own unique characteristics to make it suitable for a living enviroment, a sort of promised land remaining unfound. Though the earth had reclaimed itself, this realm had once been home to many herds of horses who had vanished without a trace, sending the history of Natural Wonders into darkness and leaving us with no history of these noble equines, save the two horses who had returned.

Zanzibar, once the king of the evils, now living as though in banishment on the edge of this realm with his single child, a mare by the name of Gravedigger. The two lurked around the borders in isolation, seemingly to wait for the day when no equines would come to make these lands flourish once more. The two that came were greatly unexpected, for two childhood friends by the name of Osprey and Memnoch, chose this realm to make their home. Now, many stories start with a great war descending, turning these friends against eachother to form the borders of light and dark. But this was not the case. Memnoch and Osprey differed in opinion, yes, but the bonds that held them together overcame these differences. They bickered and fought, never maintaining a true alliance and relishing in the times when they could have a true battle, but neither could bring himself to kill the other, nor did the desire ever arise. Always the bonds of their friendship won through and brought peace to Natural Wonders.

They settled their differences by splitting the realm into the lands it seemed to have created for itself, bringing with them the titles they had learned in their old home. The lights, the darks, and the neutrals were all that was. Memnoch, the darker of them, took over as King of the Evils. But Osprey, who chose to walk along the lines of the shadow and the light, settled in as King of the Neutrals. But let us not forget the two who dwelled in the shadows, seeking to end their solitary confinement. Zanzibar and Gravedigger stepped forward, forming the line which separated the mythicals from the normal. Memnoch became King of the Evil Mythicals, Osprey king of the Neutral Mythicals, and Zanzibar adopted the title he once had owned as King of the Evils, turning Gravedigger into the Princess of Evil. But three thrones still remained open, the Neutral Kingdom, the Light Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Light Mythicals. This proved a challenge, since Neutrals and Lights were flocking into the lands daily.

It was then decided that a challenge would be posted, summoning any who thought themself worthy of becoming a royalty of the regular Neutrals. Only three horses stepped forward, two mares and one stallion. Justin first, Nemnecil second, and Coryza showing up just before it all ended. Each told why they would be worthy, and in the end Coryza was pronounced the homosexual Queen of Neutrals.

But two other Kingdoms existed that I have failed to mention. The Bachelors broke off. A herd of stallions who chose to have no home, seeking the already steriotypical domination of the male race. Vonn was their King, forming an alliance with Memnoch in an agreement that the Dark Mythicals would provide two colts a year to the Bachelors should any be born.

Of course, a matter of opinion was once again formed, and the opposition sprung up. The beautiful Insulin, fancied by many stallions, including one of the Kings (who will not be mentioned here), formed the Amazons, a herd of mares determined to prove that they needed no stallion to be great. She gathered a good deal followers, though sought no alliances.
