When we sent Daisy to live with out neighbor, we didnt charge anything, because we were just happy to see her go to a loving home, but if I needed to place one of my animals and it went to someone I didn't know... I would "sell" it for a price, just to make sure the person was serious about it, and not going to turn around and sell it themselves. You know? You need to make sure a person can afford to take care of an animal, espescially like a bird, vet bills for a bird can be outrageous. But by asking money for an animal you can no longer keep, the gov't can jump down your throat under this. It's just ridiculous.
