I believe the same way about giving pets away. I'd rather give a pet to a good loving home, who will make sure that, that pet is taken good care of. Yes, tell me about bird vet bills. I just had all 12 birds seen before the storm (Rita) came in. Our avain vet is a mobile vet here. She came to my house and checked them all out. Some of my birds were nice but not everyone. Now their wings are growing back out and some of them need another wing trim. Also the food bill here is very high. I fed pellets and golden feast seeds to nuts mixtures with fresh veggies. I order on line at www.foryourbird.com Of course you would think I was feeding a very large army flock by my orders. I then store it away in plastic containers until I get low again.
