They are Crafty little boogers. We had one chew through our garage door to get to a garbage bag that had left over seed in it. That squirrel continued to chew on the door and nest in our garage attic for a year before we could trap it and relocate it!!! It destroyed EVERYTHING in our garage attic!!! Our christmas lights fell down in 2 ft. sections and he shredded all of them. It left a few months ago to nest with the other squirrels during baby season and came back a month ago. I caught it in a Havahart trap last week.... we are hoping there wasnt another one!

In the mean time the one we caught is about 4 miles away in a wooded park area (bicycle trails)
