Keep in mind what you're paying for this advice. ;-)

...if most of your time will be spent in the field, rather than in an office, it's less likely to be a problem, IMO. I've seen couples working in the same office or place of business (in fact—been there, done that), and especially if they're not the owners or bosses it always seems to lead to problems of some sort, usually involving jealous feelings, or the opposite—anger at being treated as a couple rather than individuals.

As a for instance, say one of you screwed up or was "let go," fired or whatever. Think of the implications for the other—and even your relationship. Maybe it can work for you under those particular circumstances, and I hope it does, but I've seen problems arise from similar situations.

As for the "sink or swim" training methods—don't worry about it; you'll do fine. At least you've got your foot in the door.
