...sort of. When Marx said "religion is the opiate of the masses," he really meant television�he just didn't know it because it hadn't been invented yet.

I still think TV use should be restricted to news, sporting events and the History, Weather and Discovery channels. I honestly believe most of the pabulum on TV blurs the lines between fantasy and reality for children�and morons of all ages�and leads to much of the crime and violence that plagues modern society.

But hey, I've lived in the Midwest/South, and I know how the monstrous weather can trap one in the house and leave few alternatives, so I'm reserving judgment.
