But still, the days are short in the south, too. The winter blues is caused mainly by a lack of sunlight, and can even be seen as far south as tropical Key West. Anyhow, I'd have to partially agree with Adriana about DST. But, I'd like to keep DST around for April-October. And the sun time thing is a bit too weird. I agree that it's most natural, but I couldn't imagine it being 8:10 AM here, and 8:05 AM in nearby Johnstown, and 8:30 in NYC. I like having DST for the summer, since it would only be daytime until a little after 9 PM in late June, instead of how it is now, getting dark out around 10:15 in late June. But, I agree, dumb idea to make it stay light out until after 8 PM in the middle of March, which is clearly winter, because it just wouldn't make sense. The first week in November having DST I could deal with (but not any farther into November than that), but not before the first Sunday in April.
