This forum is where general discussions are held, read the rules before posting.

This messageboard is for discussing nearly any topic, be it politics, video games, sports, television, weightlifting, YOU NAME IT. However if you make one thread about a topic, unless it goes into the archives, don't create another one of that nature or it WILL be deleted.

Rules for this website

Note: This website WILL be moderated with a heavy hand to prevent certain people from making this web community into a free for all. This was NOT founded for sick-minded people to discuss topics of a nature that goes beyond the realms of any possible means of good taste. These are the rules.

1. I WILL NOT TOLERATE PERSONAL ATTACKS AGAINST OTHER MEMBERS, with this, I follow the three strikes and you're out ideaology, personal attacks include ANY type of insult or defamation of charachter, and such posts WILL be deleted and a warning will be given before the post is deleted, allowing the poster ample time to see it. If the person continues this a second time, and a third time, the user is permanently banned. If a thread is being used as a vehicle for personal attacks, it will be closed and/or deleted.

2. DEATH THREATS ARE FORBIDDEN, no second chances, no exceptions. Plus the thread will be closed.

3. AVOID BLATANT ETHNIC SLURS, I am probably more tolerant than most web communities when discussing race, IQ, racial ideaologies, etc. If posters on a thread continue to voiolate this guideline, the thread WILL be closed.

4. DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT MODERATION, if you don't like the moderation here, then you can start your own forum, and users who do so continually will find their posts deleted.

5. DO NOT PROMOTE OR ENCOURAGE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, doing so will result in an automatic ban, unless the poster states explicitly that the intent is for humor and humor alone. Otherwise, no can do.

6. AVOID CRUDE POSTS OF A VULGAR, TASTELESS NATURE, I'm no prude, and I'm not humorless, but absolutely disgusting posts that go beyond the means of good taste will be deleted and the poster will be banned if it continues.

7. I HAVE NO TOLERANCE FOR SPAM, ANY spam or advertizing will automatically result in the poster being banned, no exceptions, no second chances.

8. IF YOU MAKE A CLAIM, CITE A SOURCE, if you can't make your claims in a thread without a source, your posts may be deleted until you can find a source.

9. DO NOT ATTACK THE PERSON'S SOURCE IN DEBATE UNLESS YOU HAVE ONE YOURSELF, this follows #1 and #8, and consistant violation of this one may result in a permanent ban.

10. IF YOUR SOLE PURPOSE HERE IS TO ENGAGE IN FLAME WARS, YOU'RE GONE, I believe that as mature adults we can discuss things without resorting to playground taunts. If that isn't the case, then obviously, you're not mature enough to be on here, and you will be banned until you are several years older, by then you should show some maturity.

11. KEEP IT NO MORE THAN PG-13 RATED, this rule won't prohibit you from discussing things of a sexual nature, or using swear words, or discussing things of a graphic nature. However, it WILL prohibit you from posting erotica or other such things.

12. UPDATE!!!: REGARDING HUMOR THREADS, I have started a main humor thread, and if it gets lost in the archives, I will start another one, or a member can start a new one. Do bear in mind that although the rules are far more relaxed on humor threads, I won't allow crude things that go beyond all possible means of what could be construed as good taste. I will allow R-rated posts in humor threads and humor threads alone, but no NC-17 or X-rated posts, and depending on the user's history will result in either a warning, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban (you know where you stand already as you read this)

13. UPDATE!!!: REGARDING MEMBER PRIVELEGE, as in any forum, a member's history on this forum will impact how I deal with infractions on the guidelines. For example, a long standing, respected member will be able to get away with minor infractions, while a newbie, or a less respected member may not. However, a troll will be banned for simply re-emerging.

I do not have these rules in place because I am "uncool" or whatever, but because I have observed that if left unchecked, these behaviors will cause a forum to transmogrify into a pit of filth, scaring away the good members, and only attracting trolls/morons.
