She was marketed wrong too. Her songs were boring and beauty pageant like. She had no pizazz. But then again Tate Stevens is not famous either.

Those shows are strictly for entertainment, show promotion and celebrity judge promotion only. It's not to make a next Beyonce or Lady Antebellem.

Drop from Epic?!!! Melanie has star quality vocals. I'd bet if she was like slutty Cyrus the Virus or Ri-whora she would be world renown!

Astro and Rachel Crowe are more known. Astro was in CBS's "The Mentalist" and Rachel was on Nickelodeon.

For the most part these shows are gimmicks. Some of the finalists from The Voice 2012 season were performing at local bars.
