2011 Miss Mothman Festival Pageant - Only $40!! -- Delyssa, 22:12:18 08/24/11 Wed [1]

The 2011 Miss Mothman Festival Pageants will take place Sept. 16 and 17 at the beautiful Point Pleasant Riverfront Park.

On Friday, contestants in the Teen/Miss/Ms./Mrs. will compete for the titles of Teen Miss Princess, Teen Miss Queen, Miss Princess, Miss Queen, Ms. Queen and Mrs. Queen. Optional award winners and runners-up also will be announced in each age group.

The pageant on Friday begins at 5 p.m. Contestants will need to arrive at 3 p.m. for registration and a brief rehearsal.

Phases of Competition include MOTH WEAR, EVENING WEAR and ON-STAGE INTERVIEW. There is no personal interview.

Every contestant will receive a participation award.

Vendors will be set up under the pavilion, selling their goods. There is no admission fee. Four baskets will be raffled off, and vendors also have donated items for raffle.

The audience will also have a chance to vote for their FAN FAVORITE. Votes are $1 each and the money will go toward the Mothman Museum. The winner of this will receive a nice crown and sash.

On Saturday, contestants in the Tiny/Little/Junior miss age divisions will compete for the titles of Tiny Miss Queen, Little Miss Queen, and Junior Miss Queen. EVERY CONTESTANT WILL BE CROWNED A MISS MOTHMAN FESTIVAL PRINCESS!!! No one walks away empty handed. Optionals and runners-up also will be announced in each age division.

At Large Delegates Now Being Accepted for the 2012 American Spirit Pageant

American Spirit Pageants is now accepting applications for �At Large� Delegates to our next national competition will be held April 4-7, 2012 at Disney�s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, FL. If a state pageant has already been scheduled for the state you hope to represent you will need to compete in, and win, that pageant in order to compete in the national competition. If not, you can apply for consideration as an �At Large� Delegate by filling out the application at: http://www.americanspiritpageants.com/delegate-application/. You can check to see if a state pageant has been scheduled on our State Links Page.

There are four competition divisions: Teen, Miss, Ms. and Mrs.

American Spirit Pageants Now Accepting State Delegate Applications -- Dennis VanDerGinst (the excited), 02:07:56 07/02/11 Sat [1]

American Spirit Pageants is a wonderful system that allows young women an opportunity to showcase themselves, network with other people and give back to their community all at the same time. This year we are hoping to have as many state pageants as possible. However, we are accepting �At large� Delegate applications for each state until a state director has been selected and a state pageant scheduled. To determine if a state pageant has been scheduled for your state visit http://www.americanspiritpageants.com/state-links/ and click on your state. If there is a state pageant scheduled it will be posted there and you will need to compete in the state pageant and win in order to compete at our national pageant. If there is no state pageant yet scheduled you may apply for an �At large� berth by going to http://www.americanspiritpageants.com/delegate-application/ and filling out the application.

There are four divisions in each state (Teen Miss, Miss, Ms. and Mrs.) which will compete at the national pageant.

The national American Spirit Pageant will be held April 4-7, 2012 at Disney�s Coronado Springs resort. All state delegates (state pageant winners and �At Large� selectees) will participate in a number of events and photo opportunities. ASP Queens shall be expected to make appearances on behalf of their state for their full reign. ASP is the only national pageant system that incorporates fundraising into the competition.

First Annual "Little Miss Miracle" Pageant -- Gabrielle Ash, 11:10:03 04/27/10 Tue [2]

I'm proud to announce that I will be hosting the first annual Little Miss Miracle Pageant on May 22, 2010 at 3:00 in the Doddridge County High School Auditorium (mid-way between Parkersburg and Clarksburg). ALL proceeds from the pageant will be given to the Children's Miracle Network to directly help ill children right here in West Virginia.

AGE DIVISIONS:

Tiny Miss- 2-4 years
Little Miss - 5-7 years
Young Miss- 8-10
Junior Miss- 11-14 years

Winners in each division receive crown, sash, gift, and savings bond, and since all girls are winners, each pageant participant will receive a crown!

For An Additional $15.00 Per Award, or an Additional $30.00 for all, Titles Will Be Given For:

Overall Prettiest Smile
Overall Prettiest Eyes
Overall Prettiest Hair
Overall Fan Favorite (Votes will be taken at the door for $1.00 or if you wish, you can collect from family and friends before the pageant)

Winners in each additional category receive a sash & gift prize.

Attire Needed: Each contestant will appear on stage in an age-appropriate dress of your choice. Pageant dresses are neither required nor necessary. Please keep attire appropriate and fun! This is a natural pageant, no glitz, please!

2009 Balloon Festival Pageants contestant list -- Jacki & Shay, 00:45:46 10/05/09 Mon [1]

The 2009 Mountaineer Balloon Festival pageants will be held at Mylan Park at the new Hazel and JW Ruby Community Center on Saturday, October 10th, 2009. This is the first year for the titles of Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss and Young Miss. We are excited to bring back the titles of Balloon Festival Teen and Balloon Festival Queen for the second year!

Our pageants will start at 8:00 am with the Tiny Miss pageant and will follow with the Little Miss, Junior Miss then Young Miss.

It is hard to determine exactly what time our Teen and Queen pageants will begin as we have 42 fantastic contestants in our Junior Royalty pageants. My guesstimate is between 11:15 and 11:30. I could be wrong!

I am thrilled to announce that one of our emcees will be the 2008 Miss West Virginia Kayla Lynam!

We encourage other visiting royalty and hope that you will enjoy this one of a kind festival!

Shay and I are extremely overjoyed at the remarkable group of contestants that we have for the 2009 Balloon Festival pageants. We thank each and every competitor and parent that put their trust in us by placing their child or themselves in our pageant. Who would have dared dream that the last Fairs and Festival pageant of the season would draw this many delegates? Not us!

The Queen and Teen pageant will be held at 7pm on Saturday, October 3rd. The Pre-Teen, Young Miss, and Little Miss will be held at 3pm on Sunday, October 4th. Both pageants will be held at Lewisburg Elementary School in Lewisburg, WV. Queen and Teen contestants are to arrive at the school by 12pm Saturday. Pre-Teen, Young Miss, and Little Miss contestants need to arrive at the school by 12:30pm Sunday. Doors will open to the public one hour before the pageants begin.

Awards:

Queen will receive a tiara, Jessie Marsh sash, flowers, crown pin, scholarship, trophy, expense paid trip to the WV Assoc. of Fairs and Festivals Queen�s Pageant, and gift bag. The Queen will reign over the 2010 Shanghai Parade along with other events throughout the year.

Teen will receive a tiara, sash, flowers, crown pin, trophy, and gift bag.

Pre-Teen, Young Miss, and Little Miss will each receive a tiara, sash, flowers, trophy, and gift bag.

Runners-up will each receive a sash, trophy, and flowers.

Each photogenic and congeniality winner will receive a plaque.

Fan Fave:

During the pageant members of the audience will be able to vote for their favorite contestant by making a $1 donation to the scholarship fund. The contestant with the most votes, in each division, will receive a sash and flowers.

Miss West Virginia�s Outstanding Teen is accepting at large contestants for the state pageant in June, 2009Thank you for your interest!! The entry fee is $375 and includes a local crown. We would provide the teen with a title � We would help find a mentor in your area to work with the contestant if possible. If not, then we as a state organization would help you every step of the way. The at large contestant will be treated just the same as a contestant who won her title at a local pageant. The judges will not be informed of who is an at large contestant and who is a preliminary pageant titleholder.
You must be a WV resident for at least 6 months and be between the ages of 13 and 17 and not a Senior in high school right now.

The areas of competition are the following
Private Interview
Evening Gown/On Stage Question
Scholastic Achievement
Lifestyle and Fitness
Talent � if you can recite a poem � with feeling and expression or act out a dramatic monologue from a play � YOU HAVE A TALENT! You do not have to be able to sing or dance or play an instrument. There are many different kinds of talent!!!! Even a karate demonstration is considered a talent!!!

We would LOVE to have you become a part of the Miss West Virginia's Outstanding Teen Organization family. Our leadership team and Board of Directors are all committed to mentoring teen girls and we learn a lot from them in the process. The board of directors is willing to help you every step of the way to navigate the unfamiliar waters of becoming a state teen contestant. Today was certainly a "Christmas Morning" I will "Treasure"! First I want to give a BIG THANK YOU! to Ms Betty for helping to make my first theme pageant such a HUGE success! To my "Super" Assistant.. you go girl!. You are always there when I need you! and a BIG THANKS to those that stayed and helped clean up. This dress is brand new I had it custom made and received it today only to find out it is not the right size. My daughter wears a 12 to 18 months in street clothes and it is too small. I would say it is about 6-12 months in size. It also comes with 6 extra snowflakes that can be hair bows or accessories. Asking $75

Congrats goes out to Talia Markham, 2007 WV F&F Queen, who is working full-time as an advance site event coordinator for Gov. Sarah Palin, the next VP of the United States of America!!
This takes Talia out of the pageant world for a bit, so her clothes are all for sale. Her dress she won evening gown in at Miss WV America is on the first page of pageantresale.com (gold and brown with circles on it, Crown Collection custom). It can be tried on in Ripley anytime by calling Teresa Evans at 372-8069. Her black and white talent gown is also for sale, as well as several suits, etc. on facebook and ebay. Thanks goes to Jane Engleke and Elizabeth Michaels for being such a support and keeping her looking the best ever!

Oak Leaf Festival Pageant -- Kristi Rader, 03:13:19 08/23/08 Sat [2]

The 10th Annual Oak Leaf Festival Pageant will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 7:00 PM at Oak Hill High School. Admission is $5.00 for ages 12 and over and children under 12 are admitted Free. Visiting royalty will be allowed to enter free with crown and sash. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary with a visit from several of our past queens. For more info call 228-7129.
