Connie and Jackie are right - - grandbabies are wonderful. When you are having a really hectic/terrible day, volunteer to keep the grandkids for a few hours. Believe me they make you forget about the hectic part of your life. My 6 year old grandson loves to come off the baseball field, run and throw his arms around my neck and say "Did you see that mama?". His twin sister loves our "girl time" together, whether it's talking or doing crafts. She's such a little lady. The 2 year old has a way of just looking at you and saying "I love you mama." It melts your heart. That's my Amanda's 3. Monica's little girl is only a year but her smile when she sees me is worth it all. Here's the draw back - - I have a step-son who has a 3 year old daughter about 9 hours away. There's just no way to stay in touch with her and KNOW all the little things about her like I do the ones that live close by. Jacki, I have no doubt you will be a wonderful grandma when that time comes. As much as you and I both love pageants, you will then see that there is more to life than pageants.
