Hi melvin, I was at Werrington 66 to 68. I too was in Manifold under Clissold. In the main I enjoyed my stay there, though bullying was a bit of a problem from time to time. Head Mr Skermer, Matron his wife, You remember Mr Bean and his dog Sally?? Mr plant painters, Mr sawyer engineering, Mr and Mrs grindy, Mr and Mrs Dallas? Good people. I went back with my wife and kids on July 16th 2000. we threw flowers into the river in memory of a lad that drowned in the dove when he did a bunk. paul Brotherstone. Just before your time. The place was literally in bits, torn apart for conversion to high priced flats I think and a garden centre.
