I was here 74-75ish for a couple of years when it was an approved school. Used to have some good times, canoeing, sailing, hiking, camping. Used to really enjoy going home every month though. It closed down while we were there and turned into some sort of place where kids went for 3 months which was lucky for us cos most of us were sent home, kids were usually in approved schools for about 3 years ! Most of the staff were ok but there was 1 or 2 that I would have liked to bump into to give a slap. Wonder how the other lads that were there whenI was are getting on, would be good to here from anyone who was there when I was.
